Rai Gulp is Italian children's television network owned by Rai. The channel broadcasts mainly of cartoons, television series and other entertainment programs aimed at a teenagers target.
History[]
Rai Gulp is launched on 1st June 2007 before merger of Rai Doc and Rai Futura, closed just before its launch.
From October 27, 2008 to May 17, 2010, exclusively on digital terrestrial and in areas of Italy where the switch off of terrestrial analogue television has already been made, Rai Gulp +1, a television channel with the same programming of Rai Gulp delayed by one hour.
Rai Gulp +1 has stopped broadcasting on May 18, 2010, at a distance of 1 year and 4 months since its birth (January 19, 2009).
Following the closure of the satellite channel Rai Sat Smash Girls, some programs that were aired on that channel are currently present in the Rai Gulp programmes.
From April 27, 2010, channel programming is coordinated by the structure Rai Ragazzi.
From autumn 2010, the channel changes slightly: it is confirmed for the band's vision 6-10 years, but broadens the target for a band traveling from 8 to 14 years, as claimed by Sipra. In fact, new cartons and fiction for boys are added. A further test is the change of promo and bumper graphics, much more mature and mature than the previously shown sequences.
From December 13, 2016, the channel retransmits the 4:3 image format 16:9 pillarbox format, as well as Rai Yoyo and all the other digital terrestrial Rai channels.
Since January 4, 2017, the channel has started broadcasting in high definition on the Tivùsat satellite platform.
On April 10, 2017, along with other thematic channels, undergoes a graphic restyling and then adopts a new logo, but keeping the blue color.
