Rai Yoyo is Italian children's television network owned by Rai. The channel broadcasts aimed at preschoolers aged 6 and under.
History[]
Rai Yoyo is launched on 1st November 2006 from Sky, after the closure of Rai Sat Ragazzi which divided into two originates Rai Sat YoYo (for children aimed at preschoolers) and Rai Sat Smash (for children up to 19 years).
Since July 31, 2009, when the contract between Rai Sat and Sky is not renewed, Rai Sat YoYo begins broadcasting free of charge on digital terrestrial areas in areas covered by Rai Mux 3, satellite with Tivùsat platfrom and streaming on Rai Play.
From April 27, 2010, the channel, along with Rai Gulp, is coordinated by Rai Ragazzi.
On May 18, 2010, the channel undergoes a graphic rebranding by becoming Rai Yoyo. With the new designation, the animated logo becomes static (although until January 3, 2011 the Rai script alternated with the butterfly).
Since May 1, 2016, the channel has no commercial interruption.
From December 13, 2016, Rai Yoyo rebroadcasts old cartoons (those in 4: 3 format), in 16:9 format as well as Rai Gulp, along with all the other Rai's digital terrestrial channels.
Since January 4, 2017, the channel has started broadcasting in high definition on the Tivùsat satellite platform.
