SPI International was launched on 11th September 2011. Found of the company for television channels.
On 29th September 2011, SPI International's movie channels Filmbox were launched.
On 1st October 2013, SPI International's channels were rebranded with the new logos were changed.
On 12th October 2017, SPI International was rebranded with the new logo was changed.
On 3rd November 2018, SPI International's television channel Filmbox Arthouse was launched.
On 11th June 2019, SPI International's television channel Timeless Drama Channel was launched.
On 18th March 2022, SPI International was acquired by Groupe Canal+.
