Sat.1 Gold is German entertainment television network owned by ProSiebenSat.1 Media. The channel broadcasts series, documentaries and sports programmings for women from 40 to 65 years.
On 20 November 2012, the broadcaster received a broadcasting license from the Commission for the Admission and Supervision of Media Offices (ZAK). Katja Hofem and Marc Rasmus have built the new station, but before the start of Sat.1 Gold Hofem switched to Kabel Eins. Rasmus took over the management. The supervision of the branch channel has the Thuringian State Media Authority (TLM) based in Erfurt. The station launched on January 17, 2013 at 20:13 clock with a two-minute countdown, accompanied by a trailer and a puppet show. Subsequently, the television movie The Whore was shown.
