Science & Vie TV is French documentary television network owned by Mediawan Thematics. The channel broadcasts science and lifestyle programming (technology, health, nature and environment, society and space)
History[]
Science & Vie TV was launched in 1996 with the launch of AB Sat satellite package as a documentary channel dedicated to encyclopedic knowledge, but mostly on science and engineering, notably medicine and modern inventions.
After rumors of the sale of the channel by AB Groupe in early 2007, he finally remained in the fold of the group.
Officially named Encyclopedia, it was called most of the time simply Encyclo. This problem was solved on the occasion of its fifteenth birthday, when its name was shortend.
On March 30, 2015 at 8:50 pm, the channel changed its name to Science et Vie TV.
Science et Vie TV was born on March 30, 2015 at 8:45 pm after an association between Mondadori France and AB Groupe, enabling the scientific journal Science & Vie to decline on television to replace the pre-existing Encyclo.
