Sport 1 is Hungarian television network owned by AMC Networks International Hungary. The channel broadcasts sports events related to football, basketball, hockey, tennis and mixed martial arts.
History[]
Sport 1 was launched on 2nd October 2000. Launch of the broadcast for sports events.
On 5th November 2003, Sport 1's sister channel Humor 1 was launched.
On 12th September 2004, Sport 1 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 31st August 2006, Sport 1 was acquired by Zone Media Hungary.
On 1st October 2008, Sport 1 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed also switched to 16:9 image format.
On 12th December 2012, Sport 1 was launched in high-definition version.
On 23rd December 2015, Sport 1 was rebranded with the new idents were changed.
On 1st January 2017, Sport 1 was changed its ad breaks sold by R-Time.
On 1st October 2020, Sport 1 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st October 2024, Sport 1's matches were added on streaming service Selekt.
