Stylia is former French lifestyle television network owned by Groupe TF1, The channel broadcasts documentaries, culture and reality shows related to the art of living, leisure, luxury and new trends.
History[]
After LCI, Odyssée is the second thematic channel of Groupe TF1, created on January 11, 1997. It is the documentary channel of the TPS bouquet of which TF1 was a shareholder. It competed with Planète, the documentary channel of the Canal Satellite bouquet.
In 2007, Odyssée changed to become the channel devoted to the art of living and elegance.
October 2, 2010, Odyssée becomes Stylia and is refocused on the art of living, luxury and new trends. On December 30, 2011, Stylia is no longer broadcast by Canalsat.
The channel is candidate under the name Stylia HD at the call launched by the CSA for an HD broadcast on DTT by the end of 2012. The channel has not however been retained.
On 26 September 2014, Groupe TF1 announced that the Stylia chain would close on 31 December 2014 for financial reasons. TF1 confirms the information during the day.
