Syfy Universal is defunct Anierican entertainment television network owned by NBCUniversal International Networks Anierica. The channel broadcasts science fiction, fantasy, horror, supernatural, paranormal, drama, and reality programming.
History[]
Syfy Universal was launched on October 26, 1992, under the name Sci-Fi Channel.
On November 23, 1998, Sci-Fi Channel was renamed as Sci Fi.
On March 13, 2000, Sci Fi was rebranded.
On December 16, 2002, Sci Fi was rebranded.
On January 11, 2010, Sci Fi was renamed as Syfy Universal, switched to the widescreen format and launched in HD simulcast.
On October 14, 2013, Syfy Universal stopped the 4:3 image format and then became full 16:9 picture format.
On May 4, 2015, Syfy Universal was closed and the shows was moved to the Diva.
