TF1 is French television network owned by Groupe TF1. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, lifestyle, series, movies, reality-shows and children's programmings.

History[]

TF1 was launched on 1st October 1944 as Télévision Française. Launch of the broadcast for news, entertainment and movies.

On 9th February 1949, Télévision Française is renamed as RTF Télévision.

On 1st February 1952, RTF Télévision's regional network Télé-Lille was first television station since 1950.

On 8th November 1954, RTF Télévision's regional network Télé-Lyon was launched.

On 4th February 1959, RTF Télévision was rebranded and the new logo was changed.

On 25th July 1964, RTF Télévision is renamed as Première chaîne de l'ORTF.

On 20th September 1965, Première chaîne de l'ORTF's news programming "Actualités Télévisées" is renamed to "Télé-Soir".

On 3rd November 1969, Première chaîne de l'ORTF's news programming "Télé-Soir" is renamed to "Information Première".

On 6th January 1975, Première chaîne de l'ORTF is renamed as TF1 as part of French public mass-media's changing effort.

On 20th December 1975, TF1 was broadcasted in full-color programmings.

On 25th August 1976, TF1 was rebranded and the new idents were changed.

On 4th September 1984, TF1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.

On 6th January 1987, TF1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.

On 16th April 1987, TF1 was privatized by the French Government and consequently acquired by Francis Bouygues.

On 2nd February 1990, TF1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed created by Lambie-Nairn.

On 13th November 1995, TF1 was rebranded and the new idents were changed.

On 1st January 2000, TF1 was rebranded and the new idents were changed created by View.

On 10th July 2006, TF1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.

On 29th November 2006, TF1 switched to 16:9 image format.

On 30th October 2008, TF1 stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.

On 28th September 2013, TF1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.

On 6th June 2019, TF1 was launched in ultra high-definition version.

On 5th January 2021, TF1 was rebranded and the new idents were changed.
