TV2 is Norwegian television network owned by TV2 Gruppen. The channel broadcasts news, sports, entertainment, series and movies programmings.
History[]
TV2 was launched on 5th September 1992. Launch of the broadcast for news, series, movies and sports.
On 27th June 1995, TV2's company TV2 Gruppen was acquired with 24,51% joint-venture by A-Medien.
On 1st December 1999, TV2's company TV2 Gruppen acquires the channel TV Norge.
On 23rd May 2003, TV2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 24th January 2004, TV2's second channel TV2 Xtra was launched.
On 25th June 2009, TV2 was launched in high-definition version and switched to full 16:9 image format.
On 18th January 2013, TV2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 18th September 2018, TV2's sports channels TV2 Sport and TV2 Sport Premium 4 were renamed as TV2 Sport 1 and TV2 Sport 2.
On 31st May 2021, TV2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
