TV2 Gruppen is Norwegian television company owned by Egmont Group. The company have eight television channels.
History[]
TV2 Gruppen was founded on 13th November 1991. Found of the company for broadcasting.
On 5th September 1992, TV2 Gruppen's channel TV2 was launched.
On 27th June 1995, TV2 Gruppen was acquired with 24,51% joint-venture by A-Medien.
On 1st December 1999, TV2 Gruppen acquires the channel TV Norge.
On 23rd May 2003, TV2 Gruppen was rebranded and the new logo was changed.
On 24th January 2004, TV2 Gruppen's channel TV2 Xtra was launched.
On 24th June 2004, TV2 Gruppen sold TV Norge to SBS Broadcasting Group.
On 19th December 2005, TV2 Gruppen's channel TV2 Xtra was renamed as TV2 Zebra.
On 17th September 2006, TV2 Gruppen's movie channel TV2 Filmkanalen was launched.
On 15th January 2007, TV2 Gruppen's news channel TV2 Nyhetskanalen was launched.
On 24th March 2007, TV2 Gruppen's sports channel TV2 Sport was launched.
On 24th April 2009, TV2 Gruppen's channel TV2 Science Fiction was launched.
On 11th June 2010, TV2 Gruppen's sports channels TV2 Barclays Premier League HD were launched.
On 31st December 2011, TV2 Gruppen's channel TV2 Science Fiction was closed.
On 9th January 2012, TV2 Gruppen was fully acquired by Egmont Group.
On 18th January 2013, TV2 Gruppen was rebranded and the channels' new logos were changed.
On 2nd March 2015, TV2 Gruppen's channel TV2 Filmkanalen was renamed as TV2 Humor.
On 18th September 2018, TV2 Gruppen's sports channels TV2 Sport and TV2 Sport Premium 4 were renamed as TV2 Sport 1 and TV2 Sport 2.
On 1st January 2020, TV2 Gruppen's entertainment channel TV2 Humor was closed.
On 31st May 2021, TV2 Gruppen was rebranded and the channels' new logos were changed.
