TV3+ is Danish private television network owned by Nordic Entertainment Group. The channel broadcasts series, documentaries, reality shows, sports and movies programmings.
History[]
The channel originated in 1995 when it was launched under the name TV6, which was specifically aimed at women and later in 1996 it was combined with the youth channel ZTV which was closed down that year and TV6 was replaced by a new channel called TV3+. TV3+ was first established in 1994 and later it began sending via satellite from London in 1996 at the same time as ZTV before it was shut down the following year. Like TV3, TV3+ is owned by MTG.
TV3+ broadcasts mostly American movies, comics and entertainment programs. The channel sends like TV3. 24 hours a day, but TV Shop is usually sent in late night hours and in the morning.
The channel accounts for about 4 per cent of Denmark's total television show.
From February 2010 you can watch TV3+ in HD. Some programs are displayed in so-called "upscaled" HD - and others in real HD. You can see if it's real HD by looking at the logo on one side of the top of the screen. If it's yellow in the field where there is HD, it's really High Defenition - and if it's transparent in the field that says HD, it's upscaled.
