On December 21, 2006, MTG and TV2 Denmark A/S announced that they would launch two sports channels on March 1, 2007. TV2 Sport had a number of rights in football, handball, cycling, motor racing, tennis, ice hockey and more. The hosts spoke Claus Elming, Anders Sigdal, Tina Müller, Jimmy Bøjgaard and Poul Hansen, while Claus N. Bretton-Meyer was the director.
After the new year 2012/2013, TV2 sold its archives to MTG. On January 7, 2013, the channel changed its name to TV3 Sport 1.
When TV3 Sport 2 closed and turned to TV3 Max on October 31, 2017, there is no need to keep 1 number in the logo. So from the 31st of October 2017 the channel is called TV3 Sport.
