TVE Internacional is Spanish public television network owned by Televisión Española. The channel broadcasts Televisión Española's programmings for living in Spanish people.
History[]
TVE Internacional began its broadcasts in tests on December 1, 1989 and officially, on December 1, 1990. In its first years, the channel broadcast a unique program for America and Europe, consisting of retransmission of premiered spaces in La 1 and La 2. Since April 15, 1991 a differentiated programming for one and other continents was designed. Since 1992, TVE Internacional broadcasted through the satellite Astra and Hispasat for Latin America.
TVE International is received in Asia and Oceania since December 1995 and in Africa since October 12, 1999.
Programmings[]
Its programming consists mainly of television news broadcasts broadcast in Spain through DTT. This is done simultaneously with what is broadcast in Spain. The rest of the programming is filled with TVE's own spaces in rebroadcast and with Spanish series and films of which TVE has rights for everyone. Very rarely are sporting events played in Spain, and always deferred due to rights issues.
Formerly, a limited number of announcements were issued, but generally the interruptions of the commercial network in the programs broadcast live in Spain were covered with a clock and short documentaries with information about Spain and its fauna, although sometimes the ads were shown. As a result of the elimination of advertising in Spanish Television, only promotions of the channel itself are issued.
