TVP ABC

TVP ABC is Polish children's television network owned by Telewizja Polska. The channel broadcasts animated series for children from 3 to 16 years.

History[]

The creation of the TVP children's channel was officially announced in January 2013. The Management Board of Telewizja Polska decided to submit a license for the distribution of the program via digital terrestrial television in connection with the competition for four places on the first multiplex announced by the National Broadcasting Council. On July 5, 2013, KRRiT adopted a resolution to grant a ground license for the new TVP channel. Competitive application was submitted by Telewizja Polsat for the program named Polsat Kids. The channel started on February 15, 2014. The inclusion of the broadcast in DVB-T took place on the night of February 14 to 15 at midnight, and the official start took place at 6:55. It is also available on satellite platforms: NC+, Cyfrowy Polsat and cable networks.

On March 1, 2014, the station began advertising. On the same day, the broadcasting time was extended to hours. 22:00. The setting for the channel was prepared by the band Minds Up, and the music was composed by Tomasz Stobierski.

On March 18, 2015, the monthly TVP ABC appeared.

On 1st June 2021, TVP ABC was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed for the first time in 6 years.
