Mihsign Vision

TVP HD is Polish public television network owned by Telewizja Polska. The channel broadcasts Telewizja Polska's programmings in High-Definition.

Technical informations[]

The channel is broadcast in 1080i resolution, contrary to previous announcements, which suggested that the channel will broadcast in the standard 720p [2]. The channel is available on two satellites: Hot Bird 9 and Astra 1KR - the first transmission is received by subscribers to the NC+ digital platform, the signal from the second is a channel from the TVP package, which officially launched on September 15, 2009. The package included FTA channels: TVP Info, TVP Kultura, TVP Historia and TVP Polonia.

The package was partially uncoded and broadcast in MPEG-4. The beam from this transponder is directed exclusively to Poland (Poland beam), however, due to copyright reasons, the TVP package had to be re-encoded, as it was also available in countries neighboring Poland, including in the Czech Republic and Germany.

The package and before encoding and after encoding was and is also a forwarding channel for cable networks: two nationwide (Multimedia Polska and JAMBOX) and local operators - Petrus Polska (Chojnice), Cable Television Chopin (Wejherowo), Espol (Szczecin), INEA (Wielkopolska ), Sat Film (Łódź), Tel-Kab ZE (Warsaw), P.H.U. Volta (Gdańsk). Until December 1, 2008, the channel was available for testing on the Aster cable network. Until 18 June 2009 [3], the channel was also available in the DVB-T standard from transmitters [4]:

In addition, the station is available in the UPC Polska network. During the World Football Championship in South Africa, the program was broadcast in an additional TVP multiplex (together with TVP Historia, TVP Sport and TVP Kultura) from the RTCN Poznań transmitter on channel 28 with 20 kW ERP power.

The program is mainly filled with programs with entertainment, sports, documentaries, series and film positions from the offer of other channels belonging to the Telewizja Polska: TVP 1 and TVP 2 , as well as own purchases.
