TVP Polonia is Polish television network owned by Telewizja Polska. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, series, movies, current affairs and culture programmings for Polish people living outside Poland.
History[]
TVP Polonia was launched on 31st March 1993 as TV Polonia. Launch of the broadcast for programmings for Polish diaspora.
On 13th December 1994, TV Polonia was extended in the Americas.
On 31st December 1996, TV Polonia was switched to 16:9 image format during New Year's eve.
On 31st March 1997, TV Polonia was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 7th December 2000, TV Polonia was launched its website.
On 7th March 2003, TV Polonia was renamed as TVP Polonia.
On 9th May 2003, TVP Polonia was changed its new Dolby Digital audio system.
On 1st October 2005, TVP Polonia was added on Canalsat from France.
On 22nd October 2007, TVP Polonia was re-added on Cyfra+ without Dolby audio.
On 15th April 2010, TVP Polonia was switched to fully 16:9 image format.
On 9th December 2011, TVP Polonia was added on third multiplex digital terrestrial.
On 1st January 2015, TVP Polonia was removed on Astra 19.2 E.
On 14th December 2019, TVP Polonia was discontinued in the Americas.
On 4th February 2020, TVP Polonia was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st September 2020, TVP Polonia was launched in high-definition version.
On 17th July 2021, TVP Polonia was readded on Dish Network from the United States.
On 19th August 2024, TVP Polonia was moved its channel number on Platforma Canal+.
