TV Globo is Brazilian television network owned by Grupo Globo. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, movies, series, telenovelas, lifestyle, current affairs and sports programmings.
History[]
TV Globo was launched on 26th April 1965 as TV Globo. Launch of the broadcast for entertainment and culture.
On 24th March 1966, TV Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st October 1970, TV Globo is renamed as Rede Globo and was extended seven affiliates.
On 19th February 1972, Rede Globo was broadcasts in full color programmings.
On 1st November 1976, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed created by Hans Donner.
On 13th April 1981, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed created by Pacific Data Images.
On 3rd September 1983, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 20th September 1986, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 8th April 1992, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 30th September 1996, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new idents were changed.
On 1st April 2000, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 20th April 2005, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed following 40th anniversary.
On 30th March 2008, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed, switched to 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 21st February 2011, Rede Globo stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format.
On 6th April 2014, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 15th March 2015, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 22nd March 2019, Rede Globo was rebranded with the new idents were changed.
On 1st December 2021, Rede Globo was renamed as TV Globo.
