Telenews is Dekanian television network owned by Telemedia. The channel broadcasts nationwide and worldwide news, sports news, weather, business and press review.
History[]
Telenews was launched on 1st August 1987. Launch of the broadcast for news.
On 20th February 1990, Telenews launches a new international channel Telenews International available in Anierican countries via satellite.
On 17th November 1995, Telenews was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 30th May 1998, Telenews was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st June 2004, Telenews was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 19th August 2007, Telenews was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st June 2012, Telenews switched to a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 1st September 2016, Telenews was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed as part of Telemedia's rebranding effort.
On 1st October 2019, Telenews was rebranded with the new idents were changed.
