Televiziunea Română is Romanian public broadcasting company owned by the Government of Romania and as part of European Broadcasting Union member. The company have nine television channels and five regional channels.
History[]
Televiziunea Română was founded on 31st December 1956. Found of the company for television network.
On 23rd August 1961, Televiziunea Română was rebranded with the new logo was changed.
On 6th February 1966, Televiziunea Română's news programme Jurnalul Televiziunii is renamed as Telejurnal.
On 2nd May 1968, Televiziunea Română's channel Programul 2 was launched.
On 17th June 1968, Televiziunea Română was rebranded with the new logo under stylized as "RTR".
On 26th December 1971, Televiziunea Română's channel Programul 1 was broadcasted on channel 4 in Bucharest.
On late 1975, Televiziunea Română was successfully tested with PAL/SECAM system.
On 29th March 1978, Televiziunea Română was extended these effects called "economy energy".
On 20th November 1980, Televiziunea Română's channels were changed its logos.
On 23rd August 1983, Televiziunea Română's channel Programul 1 was broadcasted in color programmings.
On 20th January 1985, Televiziunea Română's channel Programul 2 was closed.
On 25th December 1989, Televiziunea Română's channel TVR is renamed as Televiziunea Română Liberă following Romanian Revolution.
On 3rd January 1990, Televiziunea Română's regional channel TVR Cluj was launched.
On 19th February 1990, Televiziunea Română's channels was extended changes: the new logo was changed, Televiziunea Română Liberă is renamed back as TVR 1 and TVR 2 was relaunched.
On 28th November 1991, Televiziunea Română was rebranded with the new logos were changed.
On 3rd November 1991, Televiziunea Română's regional channel TVR Iași was launched.
On 7th April 1994, Televiziunea Română was rebranded with the new logos were changed.
On 17th October 1994, Televiziunea Română's regional channel TVR Timișoara was launched.
On 1st December 1995, Televiziunea Română's channel TVR i was changed.
On 23rd February 1998, Televiziunea Română was rebranded with the new logos were changed.

On 15th August 2012, Televiziunea Română's channel TVR Info was closed.

On 15th November 2012, Televiziunea Română's channel TVR News was launched.
On 1st December 2013, Televiziunea Română's channel TVR Moldova was changed.
On 1st August 2015, Televiziunea Română's channel TVR News was closed.
On 3rd November 2019, Televiziunea Română's channel TVR HD was closed and splited by two: TVR 1 and TVR 2 were launched in high-definition versions.
On 22nd June 2022, Televiziunea Română's channel TVR Info was relaunched.
On 1st December 2022, Televiziunea Română's channel TVR Cultural was relaunched.
On 27th November 2023, Televiziunea Română's channel TVR Folclor was launched.
On 30th March 2024, Televiziunea Română's sports channel TVR Sport was launched.
