ZDFkultur is German television network owned by ZDF. The channel broadcasts arts, movies, music, series, entertainment and game-shows programmings.
History[]
ZDFkultur was launched on 9th December 1999 as ZDF Theaterkanal. Launch of the broadcast for entertainment.
On 2nd June 2001, ZDF Theaterkanal was changing the new logo as part of ZDF's rebrand effort.
On 2007, ZDF Theaterkanal switched to 16:9 image format.
On 7th May 2011, ZDF Theaterkanal is renamed as ZDFkultur and the new broadcast for culture and arts.
On 30th April 2012, ZDFkultur stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 30th September 2016, ZDFkultur was closed along with Eins Plus and was merged to Funk.
On 13th February 2019, ZDFkultur was revived as ZDF Mediathek platform.
